Staff Parties!

Whale Watching Staff Party

Monday we went on a whale watching trip. It was a lot of fun! The weather was pretty bad, but our boat still tried to go out on the water. We got hit by three waves before they decided to turn us back. The first was enough to make people alert. The second was enough to make people hold on to their seats and the this was enough to tilt the boat sideways and to throw all of our cans and glasses across the room.

At this fancy burger place we went to after they had a count of all the Icelanders. Every time an Icelander is born in Iceland, the hospital actually calls the restaurant, they ring a bell and add a number. Its always exact

They even had a mushroom burger for the non-meat eaters

Wednesday we had a sport event that Bo ran at the City Hostel. It was a lot of fun. There was even a BBQ and free beer to go along with it. After the BBQ, I found out there was another whale watching party for staff, so Denis and I went because we didn't see any whales last time (we mostly just went for the free beer), then we went to Bakkus for some more drinks

ATV and Blue Lagoon Staff Party

This staff party was a lot of fun, but there isn't much to say about it. We basically went to the lava fields by the Blue Lagoon and drove up a mountain and then back down again. It was still really cool being at the top of a mountain on an ATV with nothing but black rock around and a batch of bright blue water in the distance. Here are the pictures!

  1. Looks like you're having lots of fun ! Glad the ship turned around for you - nice to have the option :)..... though the one ship looks like it didn't !
Glad to see you have lots of company around - and they're all well equipped for the ATVing adventures. Still hard to get a good sense of distance in the photos - I'm sure having a front row seat puts a different perspective on things!

Keep up the great Bloggin' !
